Pears have such beautiful form and colour - and remind me of warmer months during our chilly Canadian winter. I found this perfect pear at the market, and just had to paint it!

Gallery Series

A couple of weeks back, I went to the AGO.  The main events were paintings by Alex Coleville and drawings by Michelangelo.  I was intrigued by the work, but also intrigued by the people in the galleries looking at the paintings.  It was interesting to study the body language of the viewers...some stood directly in front, absorbing the view, and some took a half turn away from the painting, like they wanted to be able to make a quick getaway!  I've just completed these paintings from pictures I took that day (they allowed pictures at the AGO for these shows, lucky for me!).  I'll be creating more over the next few weeks.  I hope you enjoy them.
